Refund Policy
Effective date: 13 May 2026
Summary: all entry pass sales on EventHora are final and non-refundable. Please review the event details, schedule, and entry rules carefully before paying. Some organisers may publish their own refund policy on the event page; in that case the organiser's policy applies in addition to the terms below.
1. Default policy: no refund
Entry passes purchased through EventHora are sold by the event organiser, not by EventHora. By default, all entry pass purchases are considered final at the moment payment is confirmed. EventHora does not initiate refunds for —
- change of mind, scheduling conflicts, or inability to attend;
- incorrect details entered at the time of registration;
- denied entry due to violation of the organiser's rules;
- weather, traffic, or other personal circumstances.
2. When refunds may be issued
Refunds may be considered, at the organiser's discretion or as required by law, in the following cases:
- Event cancellation by the organiser: if the organiser cancels the event entirely, the organiser is expected to refund the entry pass price (less non-refundable platform and gateway charges). Refunds, if approved, are processed back to the original payment method via the same gateway used for the purchase.
- Duplicate or failed payment: if you were charged twice for the same registration, or if your payment succeeded but no entry pass was issued, please contact the organiser (or write to us at support@eventhora.com) with the transaction reference. Verified duplicates are refunded.
- Organiser-published policy: where an organiser has explicitly published a more permissive refund policy on their event page, that policy will apply in addition to this one.
3. Platform & gateway charges
Where a refund is approved, EventHora's platform fee and any non-refundable payment gateway charges (e.g. Razorpay transaction fees) may be deducted from the refunded amount. The gateway is solely responsible for the time it takes to credit the refund to your bank or card; this is typically 5–10 business days but may take longer in some cases.
4. Direct UPI transfers
For events that accept payment via direct UPI transfer (where the attendee pays the organiser's UPI ID outside any payment gateway), refunds are handled entirely by the organiser. EventHora cannot reverse those payments.
5. How to request a refund
Refund requests should be sent to the event organiser using the contact details published on the event page. If you cannot reach the organiser, you can write to support@eventhora.com with the registration ID, event name, payment reference, and a short description of the issue. We aim to respond within five business days.
6. Chargebacks
Initiating a bank or card chargeback before exhausting the organiser's refund process is discouraged. Where a chargeback is later found to be invalid, EventHora reserves the right to suspend the associated account and recover any chargeback fees.
7. Changes
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The “effective date” at the top reflects the most recent change. The version in force at the time of your purchase will apply to that purchase.
